Studio Berar installed high-end television lighting and LED display system for this prestigious international project Newsmax TV Studio in Warsaw
In July 2026, the global media network Newsmax officially launched its latest television channel and newsroom, Newsmax Polska, in Warsaw . Continuing its successful European expansion, this premium studio has been equipped with next-generation broadcast technology. Studio Berar successfully supplied, installed, and commissioned a complete, high-end television lighting and LED display system for this prestigious international project.
All equipment was delivered directly to Newsmax, with the on-site installation fully executed by Studio Berar’s team of engineers and technicians in May 2026.
The Challenge & Solution: Technology for a 4K News Environment
Newsmax Balkans, headquartered in Belgrade, was established as the first official media partner of the US-based Newsmax TV network outside the United States. As a pioneering 4K news broadcaster in the region, Newsmax maintains exceptionally high technological standards.
For the new Warsaw studio, the client required a future-proof system: highly flexible lighting with flawless color rendering, alongside LED displays specifically optimized for high-resolution TV cameras to ensure flicker-free, distortion-free on-camera performance.
Professional LED Display Delivery & Installation (GCL & NovaStar)
Studio Berar supplied and commissioned a total of 5 professional LED displays manufactured by GCL LED DISPLAY (Shenzhen), a brand for which Studio Berar serves as the official distributor and authorized service center.
The premium GCL Indoor P1.5 Gspark model was selected for this project. It is specifically tailored for TV studio installations due to the following features:
- SMD1212 technology with a high brightness of 1000 nits
- 3840+ Hz Refresh Rate (ensuring a stable, flicker-free image on broadcast cameras)
- Reliable power supply with CE certification and a 3-year warranty
Display Configuration and Dimensions by Zone:
- Screen 1: Width 7.04m x Height 2.4m = 16.89 m² (Resolution: 4576 x 1560 pixels)
- Screen 2: Width 1.92m x Height 2.4m = 4.60 m² (Resolution: 1248 x 1560 pixels)
- Screen 3: Width 3.84m x Height 2.4m = 9.21 m² (Resolution: 2496 x 1560 pixels)
- Screen 4: Width 6.40m x Height 2.4m = 15.36 m² (Resolution: 4160 x 1560 pixels)
- Screen 5: Width 4.48m x Height 2.4m = 10.75 m² (Resolution: 2912 x 1560 pixels)
Advanced Video Processing
To handle this complex layout and ensure seamless video signal management, we implemented state-of-the-art NovaStar processors:
- 3 units of NovaStar VX1000 (Inputs: 1x 3G-SDI, 2x HDMI 1.4, 2x DVI, 1x OPT1)
- 2 units of NovaStar VX16S (Inputs: 1x HDMI 2.0, 4x DVI, 2x 3G-SDI)
Advanced TV Studio Lighting System (PROLIGHTS & Obsidian)
To allow the studio to adapt seamlessly to different sets, set designs, and broadcasting needs, the lighting rig was upgraded with cutting-edge LED fixtures from PROLIGHTS. Choosing this brand was a natural fit due to their advanced color-mixing capabilities and outstanding white light quality (CRI).
Installed Lighting Fixtures & Accessories Specification:
- PROLIGHTS EclFresnel CT+L (equipped with C6040B 28mm clamps and RSR0670B 60cm safety cables) – key lights providing a high level of optical control for precise key lighting.
- PROLIGHTS EclProfile CT+ (paired with ECLLZ2550 25°–50° zoom lenses) – profile fixtures used to highlight specific set elements with high accuracy.
- PROLIGHTS EclPanel TWC & EclPanel TWC Jr (outfitted with dedicated barn doors and 30°/60° egg crates) – soft, uniform panel lights delivering consistent coverage across the entire studio.
- PROLIGHTS Astra Wash19Pix – moving wash lights featuring pixel-mapping control for dynamic background visual effects.
- PROLIGHTS LumiPix16H & LumiPix8H – RGBW LED batten fixtures offering vibrant colors for creative set backlighting.

For stable data distribution and control throughout the studio, professional networking and control hardware was deployed:

TP-LINK TL-SG1024 V2 – a 24-port Gigabit switch ensuring a fast, stable, and secure network infrastructure for the entire system.
