A few days before its fortieth birthday, the company Clay Paky, respectively their Scenius Profile, won the 2016 Plasa Award for Innovation
What makes Scenius Profile stand out, according to experts, is its innovation. It is a new Clay Paky moving head unit with an optical reflector designed specifically for it, to make its light beam evenly stretched around the room, without the usual hotspot effect. The framing system consists of four independent folding blades that create shapes of all sizes, including triangular forms. It works simultaneously with four different focal planes and exclusive curtain effect which allows the complete gradual closure of a form, using mentioned blades. The form you create can be rotated to an angle of 90 degrees.
Advanced optical drive and new 1400 OSRAM light bulbs provide a very high light output and CRI. Thanks to its wide 8 ° – 50 ° zoom, Scenius Profile fits perfectly into any environment. CMY color system, linear CTO, 7 fixed colors, 14 gobos (6 rotating and 8 fixed), rotating prism, variable frost filter 2 and very precise dimmer complete performance of the fixture.
The framing system of Scenius Profile represents the very pinnacle of micromechanical engineering, with extreme precision and extremely low error tolerance. An expert jury awarded it with Plasa Award based on the quality of its light beam, thanks to which it can be used in all settings, not only as an effects projector but also as the key light. In this way, a complete lighting system simplifies, since the same light source can serve different purposes.
Thanks to these characteristics and the outstanding Clay Paky quality, Scenius Profile is an exceptional tool for use in theaters, television studios and onsets of major events, where uniformity and precision of a beam are the priority.
