JBL 7-series brings an extraordinary output, stunning detail, an expansive soundstage, and greater accuracy
7-series represents a new generation of monitors, developed to meet the needs of music recording, film post and broadcast production applications.
Its impressive performance is achieved thanks to leveraging new patent-pending driver technologies and JBL’s renowned Image Control Waveguide originally developed for our flagship M2 Master Reference Monitor. This technology allows exceptional high-frequency detail.
7-series consists of four models: 705P and 708P, master reference bi-amplified monitors, as well as 705i and 708i reference monitors.
Now available in both powered and passive models, with tight integration with the new Intonato 24 Monitor Management Tuning System, 7-series monitors can be part of a home stereo or surround system, and production rooms.
Together with the mentioned Intonato system and 8-channel power CROWN amplifier, 705i and 708i can be transformed into a modular scalable system, which brings precise sound regardless of a room size and a number of channels.
This is basic specification of 7-series:
Model | Frequency response | Frequency range | Max SPL | |
705P | 5″ Bi-Amplified Master Reference Monitor | -1.5 dB @ 48Hz – 23kHz | 39Hz – 36 kHz | (80 Hz – 20 kHz) >101 dB SPL / 1m |
708P | 8″ Bi-Amplified Master Reference Monitor | -1.5 dB @ 45Hz – 23kHz | 35Hz – 36 kHz | (80 Hz – 20 kHz) >108 dB SPL / 1m |
705i | 5″ Master Reference Monitor | -1.5 dB @ 48Hz – 23kHz | 39Hz – 36 kHz | (80 Hz – 20 kHz) >101 dB SPL / 1m |
708i | 8″ Master Reference Monitor | -1.5 dB @ 45Hz – 23kHz | 35Hz – 36 kHz | (80 Hz – 20 kHz) >108 dB SPL / 1m |
705P and 708P bi-amplified are self-powered reference monitor, with the same patent-pending driver and JBL Image Control Waveguide technology. 705i has a compact size, but also a high level of output and greater dynamic range. Bigger 708P has, comparing to other studio monitors of similar size, several times greater output.
705i and 708i differ in size, but both belong to the new generation of multi-channel monitoring. These studio monitors are easily installed and can be a part of the mentioned modular scalable system, for work that doesn’t settle when it comes to sound quality and precision.
